PHP.net.my, Malaysia's leading community of PHP developers, announced today a collaboration with MSC Malaysia and Microsoft Malaysia to launch two major initiatives within the second quarter and third quarter of this PHPAcade.my, a comprehensive online PHP on Windows training programme, and PHPMarketplace.my, a PHP on Windows jobs matching portal.
PHP or Hypertext Preprocessor is a general-purpose scripting language that is widely used to create web applications.
"It's a complex Web world out there and no single platform can address all the needs," said PHP.net.my founder Ahmad Amran Kapi.
"Although Linux is still the most frequently used platform for PHP deployments, PHP developers are increasingly using Windows for their deployment platform of choice as many organisations require new applications to run on their existing Windows environment.
"Our goal is to give PHP developers the ability to take advantage of this growing opportunity by making them proficient in coding PHP on Windows as well, thus opening new markets and new opportunities for those who already understand PHP on Linux," he said.
